All Guides For Brand Teams

Branded Food Truck
Activations Sydney

Use our five-truck Sydney fleet for your next brand activation, with your logo and creative on the truck. Single-day, multi-site, or full tour. Turnaround from one week with planning.

Key Takeaways

  • We make our five-truck Sydney fleet available for brand activation campaigns with custom branding on the truck.
  • Branding options range from light-touch signage (one-week turnaround) to full custom vinyl wraps (two to three weeks).
  • The activation includes food, on-site service staff, equipment, power and water, and public liability insurance. Branding is quoted separately.
  • Single-day, multi-site, or multi-day tour formats supported. We have run activations for Woolworths, Bunnings, and Amazon at this scale.
  • A single truck serves roughly 800 to 1,200 guests across an eight-hour activation day, which matters when you are planning footfall capacity.

What we offer brand teams

Most food truck operators run their own brand. The Food Hub fleet operates the same way for our standard catering work, but for activation campaigns we make the trucks available as a branded vehicle for your campaign instead. For the duration of the activation, the truck is dressed as your brand, the service runs under your campaign, and the food becomes the value exchange that pulls your target audience in.

This is a B2B activation product, not a standard catering booking. It is for brand teams, agency event leads, and in-house marketing teams running:

  • Product launch activations
  • Corporate campus activations (employee-facing)
  • Retail precinct activations (consumer-facing)
  • Multi-site or multi-day brand tours across Sydney and NSW
  • Conference, expo, and trade event presence with a branded truck
  • Sampling, brand awareness, and customer trial campaigns

Branding options on the truck

Three tiers, scaling from light-touch to full takeover:

Tier 1: Signage and packaging

Pull up banners, A frame signage, feather flags, and a branded back wall photo setup positioned around our standard livery truck. Plus branded stickers on our standard packaging for the food served on the day. Fully printed packaging is available too, with a longer lead time.

Turnaround: one week from confirmed brief and supplied artwork.

Tier 2: Partial vinyl panels

Custom-printed vinyl panels applied to key sections of the truck exterior (the serving side, the back wall, or a specific feature panel). Combines truck-as-canvas with our standard build underneath.

Turnaround: two weeks for design, print, and install.

Tier 3: Full custom truck wrap

The entire truck is wrapped in your brand creative. Photographs read as a fully owned brand asset. Best for long-running tours, hero-style activations, and campaigns where the truck itself is part of the brand campaign material.

Turnaround: two to three weeks for design, print, and install. The wrap is removable and the truck reverts to our standard livery once the campaign ends.

Why this format works for activation

A branded food truck activation does three things that conventional activation formats struggle with:

  • Built-in queue. A queue is the universal signal that something is worth attention. People stop, ask, and join. The queue itself does the visibility work.
  • Built-in social moment. Guests photograph the truck, the food, and the brand. Organic social content compounds the activation's reach beyond who physically attended.
  • Tangible value exchange. Free quality food is one of the few brand giveaways guests actually remember and feel grateful for. The goodwill carries the brand message further than a flyer.

Throughput and footfall planning

Our service speed of under 60 seconds per order translates into the following throughput benchmarks for activation planning:

  • Single truck, eight-hour activation: 800 to 1,200 guests served, depending on menu complexity.
  • Single truck, four-hour lunchtime activation: 400 to 600 guests, with peak demand 12 to 1.30pm.
  • Two trucks across the same site: 1,800 to 2,500 guests in eight hours, with queues comfortable.
  • Multi-truck corporate-campus deployment: 2,000+ guests across a single event day is comfortable. We have served at this scale for Woolworths corporate activations.

Plan capacity for 1.3 to 1.5 times your expected footfall. Running out of food at noon when your activation runs until 4pm is the outcome to avoid.

Tour formats we support

  • Single day, single site. Standard activation day. Most common format. Truck arrives, runs the activation, packs down same day.
  • Single day, multiple sites. The truck moves between sites within the day. Suits short, sharp activations at lunch peaks across two or three corporate campuses.
  • Multi-day, single site. The truck stays at the site across two or more days. Suits trade events, conferences, retail precinct campaigns, and long-running consumer-facing activations.
  • Multi-day tour, multiple sites. The full tour format. We move trucks across sites day to day, or run different trucks at different sites simultaneously. Suits sustained product launch campaigns and brand-led market events.

How activations are priced

Brand activations are quoted per campaign rather than per head, because the variables (truck count, branding tier, tour length, footfall, custom packaging) all matter. The components of a typical proposal:

  • Truck base rate per day. Covers crew, food, equipment, on-site service, power and water, public liability insurance.
  • Custom branding component. Scales with the tier (signage / partial vinyl / full wrap). Quoted separately so you can scope to budget.
  • Branded packaging (optional). Branded stickers on our standard packaging are quick and easy. Fully printed napkins, cups and trays are possible but need a longer lead time, often several weeks and up to around six. We can coordinate production or work with packaging you supply.
  • Travel component. Standard Sydney metro is included in the base rate. Regional NSW attracts a travel line item. See our regional NSW catering page for context.
  • Multi-day or multi-truck discount. Tour-style and large-scale activations attract volume pricing. We will scope this with you on brief.

A single-truck, signage-only, single-day activation starts in the low five figures. A multi-truck, fully wrapped, multi-day tour activation runs higher. We provide tailored proposals on brief.

Lead time and planning

Turnaround depends on the branding tier and the activation scale:

  • One week minimum: signage-only, single-truck, single-day activation. Requires confirmed brief and supplied artwork up front.
  • Two weeks: partial vinyl panel branding, single or multi-day activation.
  • Three to four weeks: full custom truck wrap, single-day or short-tour activation.
  • Six weeks plus: multi-truck, multi-day tour activations with full custom wrap on each truck.

The fast turnaround is real, but planning ahead delivers a better activation. Lead time gives us room to scope the right sites, coordinate the right trucks, plan permit and access logistics, and produce branding to the right standard.

How to brief us

When you reach out, the more of this you can answer up front, the faster we come back with a tailored proposal:

  • Campaign objective and target audience
  • Site or sites (corporate campus, retail precinct, event venue, public space)
  • Dates and service hours
  • Expected footfall
  • Branding tier preference (signage / partial vinyl / full wrap)
  • Whether you need custom packaging
  • Dietary requirements for the audience
  • Budget envelope

We come back with a tailored proposal that scopes the right truck combination, branding production timeline, and activation-day delivery plan. Our standard quote turnaround is the same day for most enquiries.
