Feeding cast and crew on sets and shoots across NSW
Productions · Commercials · Music videos · TV shoots
On a shoot, the catering is not a nice to have, it is part of keeping the day on track. A truck parked on location means hot, proper food without losing the unit to a long drive for lunch. People eat well, morale stays up, and you get everyone back on set on time.
We are used to demanding logistics. We have driven interstate, hired local crew and served at pace under real pressure, so a tight call sheet does not faze us. You can read how we handled one of our biggest logistical jobs for a sense of how we operate.
On a set, the people in front of the camera carry the day, and a hungry lead is a grumpy lead. A grumpy lead is a retake. We take feeding the cast seriously, with proper fresh food and the flexibility to look after specific requests, so your main characters get exactly what they need to stay in the zone.
Call it our small contribution to the craft: the right nutrition so the acting stays award worthy, or at the very least so nobody is filming their big emotional scene on an empty stomach. The crew too, of course. Especially the crew.
Set up and serving before the first shot, and flexible as the schedule shifts through the day.
Back lot, studio car park, remote location or closed street. Self-contained power and water, so we go where the shoot is.
Rotate the menu across a multi day shoot so the unit does not get the same lunch twice.
Halal, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-friendly covered, so the whole cast and crew is sorted.
We do. A food truck is a natural fit for a set: it rolls in, feeds cast and crew fast, and rolls out, all without needing a kitchen on location. From commercials and music videos to drama shoots and TV productions, we keep the unit fed and the schedule on track.
Yes. Think of us as craft services on wheels. Standard service is two hours, and on a shoot we know that can stretch, so we include a free grace period of an hour or two depending on the size of the service. Anything beyond that is usually a small extension fee, though not always. We keep hot food coming between setups, and because we are self contained, we work just as well on a back lot as at a remote location.
Early starts and long days are normal for us. We are used to being set up and serving before the first shot and staying flexible as the schedule moves, because it always does. Tell us the call sheet and we will work to it.
Yes. Self-contained power and water means we are not tied to mains or a venue, so a paddock, a car park or a closed street is all the same to us. We have driven interstate for jobs, so distance is a logistics question, not a deal-breaker.
Always. Productions are a real mix of people and preferences, so we carry vegetarian, vegan and gluten-friendly options across the fleet, plus an all-halal snack pack truck. Everyone on the unit gets a proper feed.
Send us the shoot dates, location, unit size and call times. We will put together a menu and a clear quote, usually within the hour. Minimum is 60 guests per service, and pricing is all-inclusive with a same-day GST tax invoice for the production accounts.
