What Affects the Price

Guest Numbers

The most significant factor. Food truck catering works on volume , the more guests, the more efficiently a truck operates. Our sweet spot is 60 to 300 guests. Below 60, the setup cost relative to guest numbers makes it less cost-effective. Above 300, we recommend deploying multiple trucks from our fleet to maintain service speed and reduce wait times. We've catered events of more than 2,000 guests, including large corporate activations for Woolworths. For more on how guest counts shape your booking, see our guide to guest numbers.

Location

Sydney metro events are quoted at the base rate. Events in outer Sydney, regional NSW, or further afield may include a travel component. We service all of Sydney, New South Wales, and regional NSW , and we'll always be transparent about any travel costs in your quote.

Number of Menu Items

A standard booking includes a set menu per head. Adding complexity , additional proteins, premium ingredients, or a broader selection , affects the per-head cost. Our team will work with you to find the right balance of variety and value for your guest count.

Event Duration

Standard bookings run for two hours, which covers the service period for most corporate and private events. Events running longer attract an additional service fee to cover extended staffing and operational costs. We'll make this clear upfront , no surprises on the invoice.

Why the Cheapest Quote Usually Isn't the Best Value

We regularly hear from clients who booked a cheaper operator and experienced one or more of the following: slow service with long queues, food running short at 150 guests, poor presentation, a complete inability to handle dietary requirements, and a caterer who was difficult to reach after the event.

Some operators undercut to win the job without looking at their margins. The result is a service that can't be sustained , and when something goes wrong on the day, you're left managing it yourself.

Professional food truck catering at $18–$35 per head represents genuine value for a fully managed, high-volume hospitality experience. Operators quoting significantly below this should be asked exactly what they're excluding , our guide to the questions to ask before booking walks through the red flags in detail.

Return Client Discounts

We build long-term relationships with our clients. Returning clients receive preferential rates , because a trusted, repeat partnership works better for everyone.

It's one of the reasons clients like Woolworths, Bunnings, Costco, Commonwealth Bank, Amazon, Sony, and Toyota keep coming back. We quote fairly the first time, deliver on every commitment, and reward loyalty.

When Should You Book?

We can accommodate bookings with as little as 2–3 business days' notice, though the best dates , particularly for end-of-financial-year events and end-of-year functions , fill up quickly. We accept bookings up to six months in advance. If you're planning a workplace event, our guide to corporate food truck catering in Sydney covers the most common use cases.

If your event has a fixed date, the earlier you enquire, the more options we have available.
