The Complete Guide to
Corporate Food Truck Catering

Food trucks have become the preferred catering choice for corporate events across Sydney. Here is why they work, when to book, and what to expect from a professional service.

Why Companies Choose Food Trucks

Traditional catering has its place. But for corporate events where the goal is to reward staff, make an impression, or create a shared experience, food trucks consistently outperform a buffet table.

The reasons are straightforward. Food trucks are visually engaging, the food is cooked fresh on site, and the walk-up format gets people moving and talking. For a company spending money on an event, the experience matters as much as the meal itself.

At The Food Hub, we serve guests in under 60 seconds per order. For a 200-person corporate event over a two-hour service window, that means every guest is fed quickly and comfortably, with no long queues and no delays to your program.

End of Financial Year Events

End-of-financial-year (EOFY) events are one of the busiest periods in our calendar. Companies with remaining budget have a genuine incentive to spend before 30 June, and food truck catering is one of the most effective ways to do it.

A well-run EOFY event serves three purposes at once. It rewards staff for the year's work, creates a moment the team remembers, and uses budget in a way that's purposeful and justifiable. Food truck catering at $18 to $35 per head is cost-effective at scale and easy to approve through finance.

Our busiest EOFY bookings typically run for 60 to 300 guests over a two-hour service window at the office or a nearby venue. We handle everything from arrival to pack-down, so your team can focus on the event itself.

EOFY booking tip

June dates fill up fast. If your event is in May or June, we recommend enquiring at least four to six weeks in advance to secure your preferred date.

Staff Appreciation Days

Staff appreciation events are one of the highest-return investments a company can make. A well-organised event signals to your team that leadership values their contribution. Food trucks are particularly well suited to these occasions because they feel celebratory without being formal.

The walk-up format encourages team members from different departments to mix in a relaxed setting. Multiple trucks from our fleet mean there is something for every dietary preference, so no one is left eating around the edges of a menu that doesn't suit them.

We offer halal, vegan, dairy-free, and nut-free options across our fleet, and we accommodate gluten-intolerant guests. For a diverse corporate team, this matters more than most event planners initially realise.

What Makes a Professional Corporate Booking

A corporate food truck booking from The Food Hub includes everything your team needs to run the event without coordinating logistics on the day.

  • Full setup and pack-down, handled by our team
  • On-site serving staff for the full service duration
  • All serving equipment, napkins and cutlery
  • Public liability insurance and event-specific cover
  • Our own power and water supply, no venue dependency
  • A dedicated contact for pre-event questions and on-the-day coordination

You tell us the date, the guest count, and the location. We handle everything else.

Catering at Scale

The sweet spot for corporate food truck catering is between 60 and 300 guests. This range allows a single truck to deliver excellent service within a standard two-hour window.

For larger corporate events, we deploy multiple trucks from our five-truck fleet. Each truck operates independently with its own team, its own power supply, and its own menu. This reduces wait times significantly and gives your guests real variety.

We have catered events of more than 2,000 people, including large-scale activations for Woolworths, Commonwealth Bank, Amazon, Bunnings, Costco, Sony, and Toyota. High-volume event catering is where our systems-first model was built, and it shows in the consistency of our service at any guest count.

Pricing for Corporate Events

Corporate food truck catering in Sydney typically costs between $18 and $35 per head, all-inclusive. The per-head rate depends on guest numbers, location, menu complexity, and event duration.

Standard bookings run for two hours. Events running longer than this include an additional service component, which we itemise clearly in your quote. There are no hidden fees.

Returning corporate clients receive preferential rates. If you are booking for a recurring event such as a quarterly team lunch or an annual EOFY function, let us know and we will structure your quote accordingly.
