A food truck on school grounds needs nothing beyond the school's booking. The Food Hub holds a Working With Children Check through Service NSW and $20 million public liability insurance, with details available for the school's records.

What the school needs to do

  • Book the date and tell us where on the grounds the truck will sit.
  • Give us a Google pin so we can check the gate width and a flat, safe spot.

What we bring

  • Our own power, gas and water. The canteen isn't needed.
  • A Working With Children Check through Service NSW and a certificate of currency on request.

The one exception

  • If the event is on a council park or reserve rather than school grounds, that council's Section 68 approval is needed, and it takes two to six weeks.
