The Food Hub's weekend food truck bookings carry a $2,500 plus GST minimum, even when the per head total is lower. That covers Friday, Saturday and Sunday events, and the 60 guest minimum still applies.

Why weekends are different

  • Weekend dates are the busiest of the year for weddings, parties, fetes and festivals, and the trucks are booked out well ahead.
  • The minimum makes sure a weekend date is worth taking off the calendar for both of us.

What it means in practice

  • At $18 per head plus GST, $2,500 is roughly 140 guests. Below that number you still pay the minimum.
  • Above it, you're simply paying the per head rate for your numbers.
  • Monday to Thursday standard catering has a 60 guest minimum. Breakfast has its own $2,000 plus GST minimum for two hours.
