A CBD tower is the hardest place in Sydney to park a food truck, and a bank is the hardest place to get a new supplier approved. We have done both often enough that neither is the reason your day does not happen.

Food truck catering for a Sydney bank or financial services firm runs from $18 to $35 per head plus GST, all inclusive, with a minimum of 60 guests. The two things that actually decide whether it happens are building access and supplier approval, so we handle both first: a Google pin to confirm the truck fits, and a full document pack including our $20M certificate of currency, food safety records and ABN. We accept purchase orders and issue one GST tax invoice.
In the CBD the question is never whether we can cook for 300 people. It is whether there is anywhere legal, safe and physically possible to stand a truck within sensible walking distance of your floor, and who has to say yes to it.
Loading docks are usually the answer, and usually the problem. Most CBD docks have a height limit our trucks cannot meet: the fleet is 3.5 metres high, and anything under about 3.7 metres of clearance is not worth attempting. We do not go into underground car parks at all. What does work is a forecourt, a plaza the building controls, a service yard, or a section of an above ground car park at a suburban campus.
On public land, footpaths and streets included, the truck needs council approval rather than just your say so, and that takes time to arrange. On private property that the building or your business controls, the booking is all that is needed. Send us a Google pin of the spot you have in mind and we will look at the approach, the turning circle and the clearance on a map, and tell you honestly whether it works before anyone raises a request internally.
In a bank the person organising the day and the person who can approve the spend are almost never the same person, and the second one has a checklist. Nothing derails a catering booking faster than a supplier who takes four days to produce a certificate of currency.
So here it is up front. We hold $20M public liability and can supply a certificate of currency on request. We carry food safety documentation for building and site inductions, and a Working With Children Check where a campus or school event needs one. We are GST registered under ABN 30 609 356 005, and we are a registered supplier on buy.nsw.
On the commercial side: we accept purchase orders and will quote your PO number on the invoice. A 25 percent deposit holds the date. Terms are usually 7 days and we can extend to 14 on request. You get one tax invoice with GST broken out, rather than a pile of them, which is generally the difference between an approval that sails through and one that sits in someone tray.
A Google pin of where you think the truck can stand is worth more than a paragraph describing it. We check the approach and the clearance on a map straight away.
Certificate of currency for $20M public liability, food safety documentation, ABN and our buy.nsw supplier registration, sent in one go so procurement is not chasing us.
Where a landlord or building manager controls the space, they set the rules and give their own approval. We will work to whatever they specify, including arrival times and dock access windows.
We set up ahead of your window, serve to order, pack down and take our rubbish. One tax invoice with GST broken out, on terms of 7 to 14 days, with your purchase order number on it.
Kemps Creek · Christmas party · several cuisines
Sigma booked us for dessert at their Christmas party. The booking grew into a package covering several cuisines for the whole event, with one point of contact.
The result. One supplier, one invoice, one point of contact for the entire party.

We put together one package covering several cuisines plus dessert, and we have catered their events ever since.
The result. Fewer suppliers to approve and fewer invoices to process, from one point of contact.

A large corporate Christmas party where we ended up the busiest food truck there. The interesting part of that story is what happened when demand ran ahead of what had been planned for, and what we did about it.
The result. A hard lesson in forecasting, told honestly rather than tidied up.

Where you land inside that range depends on two things: the headcount, because the rate falls as the number rises, and how many of our four trucks are still free on your date. Send us the date and the headcount and we will give you a real number, usually within the hour.
Yes, on request, and we would rather send it before you ask. We hold $20M public liability. We can also supply food safety documentation for building inductions, our ABN 30 609 356 005 for the GST invoice, and a Working With Children Check where a campus event needs one.

Sometimes, and it depends entirely on the clearance. Our trucks are 3.5 metres high and most CBD loading docks are lower than that, so a dock is often not the answer. A forecourt, a plaza the building controls, a service yard or a suburban campus car park usually is. Send us a Google pin of the spot and we will tell you honestly whether it works before you raise anything internally.
On private property that your business or the building controls, no. The booking is all that is needed. If the only workable spot is public land, such as a street, a footpath or a park, that needs approval from the relevant council and is worth starting well ahead of the date. Tell us where you are thinking and we will tell you which of the two you are dealing with.
